This whole series get 6 stars! These are some of my favorite books! It has never ending comedy and treacherous adventures! It has really solid characters with true deepness of feelings and many angles. I've learned so much about Greek and Roman mythology in an amazing way; through their battles and strategies and prophesies. Through this series you see Greek and Roman mythology and you get to meet Piper, Leo, Percy, Jason, Annabeth, Hazel, Frank and Gleeson, Mellie, Calapso, Reyna, Nico and of course many monsters and Hercules. These teenagers are brave and very clever. If you are in middle school or above and you haven't read these books it is no longer a recommendation! You must read this spectacular assortment of adventures!! Rick Riordan He has a really cool website you should check out if your interested! He has tons of other amazing books like the Kane Chronicles and Percy Jackson series.

If you are part of my [awesome] family you've read this book. It's almost, like a law, required, it just is. The Wind Boy **** (4 stars) is a beautiful book. When Nan, a girl from the mountains, reponds to an ad it changes the lives of Kay and Gretian forever. Their mother, Detra, works all day hiding behind the drab darkness of her cloak in the factory. She needs someone to take care the house and help watch her children. Kay and Gentian discover a whole new world above their own starting in the shoe shop. This book was amazing for me. It was beautifully written and had wonderful descriptions. It was written a while ago, so the language is a little more difficult to read. It didn't have any content issues so a good reader could read it in 5th or 6th grade, but can always be reread/read at a later age. This book is so magical! Is there another book where you can float to the Clear Land and dance with the Clear Children? |
